Whether I'm meeting you at home in Miramar, at a hospital in Hollywood or at an office in Miami, every Florida notarization follows the same basic rules. Having these four things ready saves time and avoids a second trip.

Fill in all the blanks before I arrive, but do not sign. You'll sign in front of me so I can witness your signature. I can't fill out or choose a document for you; if you have questions about what the document says or which form you need, please ask an attorney or the person who requested it.

Each person signing must be physically present (or on camera for an online notarization), signing of their own free will, and aware of what they are signing. Someone else can't sign on your behalf, and I can't notarize if a signer seems pressured or confused — this protects you and your family.

Some documents need one or two witnesses in addition to the notary. Check your document or ask whoever prepared it. Witnesses should bring their own valid photo ID. Let me know ahead of time if you need help arranging witnesses.

Florida law caps the notarial fee at $10 per notarial act, or $25 per act for a Remote Online Notarization. Travel and after-hours service are quoted separately, depending on where and when you need me. Call or text for a quote.

I'm a Florida registered Remote Online Notary, so many documents can be notarized by secure live video from your phone or computer. You'll still need a valid photo ID and a good internet connection. Not every document or recipient accepts online notarization, so check with the party receiving it first.
